A young journalist from Puebla arrives in Mexico City to find an opportunity.
After covering the electoral fraud of 1988 and witnessing the plots between the media and the government, he discovers that he must put scruples aside if he wants to progress on the national journalism scene. Years later, his insatiable ambition will take him to La Televisora, the most important media outlet in the country. The rise of his career is undeniable: in a few years he goes from being a reporter to hosting the most popular morning news show on television. Yet, as his influence within the company and viewers, whom he has captivated with his image as a fearless reporter and unmasker of corruption, grows, he must also deal with excess, and take on the most powerful people in politics and the media. But the dispute over being the headline of the stellar evening news will make him antagonize the man who was his teacher and protector.
