Ramón Pernas

Viveiro, Lugo, 1952

A journalist by profession and vocation – the winner of the Puro de Cora and Julio Camba Prizes – Pernas has edited magazines and written poems, songs and TV scripts.
Formerly the editorial director of Espasa Calpe, he has published a dozen books and is now a well-established novelist, having won, among other prizes, the Ateneo de Sevilla, the Letras de Bretaña and the Internacional de novela Emilio Alarcos. He was also a finalist for the Premio Nacional de Literatura with Paso a dos.
