Synopsis:

Manuela falls to the floor after hearing a loud explosion in a building near the
university where she is studying. As she falls, a man grabs her and both fall onto the street. Overwhelmed by the explosion and the mysterious man who seems to have saved her life, she struggles to her feet, and, putting a hand in the pocket of her jacket, she feels something heavy and warm. She realizes that her ‘savior’ has slipped a gun into her pocket before making his getaway.

A police officer arrives to make sure that she is fine. She has hurt her leg, but she prefers to resume her walk to the university to keep the cop from discovering the gun.

The sensation of having the weapon makes.

Manuela remember her brother José Antonio, an expert in arms and killed a few years ago in a fight. Her brother taught her marksmanship but even so, she has preferred to steer clear of weapons. Several minutes later, Manuela receives a phone call from Francisco and Beatriz, her parents. Both heard the news about the explosion and want to make sure that their daughter is safe.

She tells her parents that she was far from the university and heard nothing and keeps quiet about the weapon she now possesses. José Antonio could have helped her, but now that he’s gone, who will come to her aid?
